Add your booking calendar to your site
Updated 09/02/2026
You can take bookings from your own website in three ways. All three use the same booking screen as your public booking page, so products, hours, and booking rules stay in one place. The calendar you place on your own site is called the embed calendar.
- Link or button to your booking page. Works on any site builder. In 'Service settings', open the 'General' tab: the 'Service URL' row shows your booking page address with a 'Copy link' button.
- Script embed. Places the embed calendar in your page and adjusts its height to the content, so there's no inner scrollbar. Recommended when your site allows scripts.
- Basic embed. A single iframe tag with a fixed height. For sites that block scripts. If the content is taller than the frame, it scrolls inside the frame.
Where to get the code
In 'Service settings', open the 'Embed calendar' tab. In the 'Embed code' card, 'View code' shows the snippet and 'Copy code' copies it. The code is the basic embed by default. Turn on 'Script embed' under 'Embed type' to get the script version.
Options on the same screen:
- 'Max width (px)' limits the calendar width and centers it. Leave it empty for 'Full width' to fill the space where you paste it. This value is part of the code you copy, so copy again after changing it.
- 'Colors' and 'Display elements' are saved with 'Save' and apply to the calendar without pasting new code.
- 'Preview (Web)' opens the calendar in a new tab at the chosen width.
Payment and sign-in
The embed calendar handles choosing a product, date, time, and options. When the guest continues, name, contact details, consent, and payment open in a top-level Inscramble window: a pop-up on desktop, or the same tab on mobile. If the browser blocks the pop-up, the calendar shows a notice with a button to continue in the current tab. When the booking is complete, the desktop pop-up closes on its own, and on mobile the close button on the completion screen returns the guest to your site.
The 'Inquiry button', when shown, opens a contact sheet with the phone number, email address, or Inscramble chat you've set up. Chat also opens in a top-level Inscramble window.
