Add your calendar to Squarespace
Updated 09/02/2026
The Inscramble embed calendar works in a Squarespace code block as-is.
Steps
- In 'Service settings', open the 'Embed calendar' tab.
- Under 'Embed type', turn on 'Script embed' so the calendar height follows the content. Set 'Max width (px)' if you want the calendar narrower than the page.
- In the 'Embed code' card, select 'Copy code'.
- In Squarespace, edit the page where you want bookings, add a code block, and paste the code. Save and publish the page.
Things to check
- Squarespace allows JavaScript and iframes in code blocks on its Core, Plus, and Advanced plans, and on the older Business and Commerce plans. On the Squarespace Basic plan, add a link or button to your booking page instead. See Add your booking calendar to your site.
- Squarespace notes that, as a security measure, custom code sometimes doesn't appear while you're logged in even though visitors can see it. Check the published page in a private window or after logging out.
- Guests pick a date and time inside the calendar. Contact details and payment open in a top-level Inscramble window, so they aren't affected by the code block.
- 'Colors' and 'Display elements' are saved on the 'Embed calendar' screen and apply to the calendar you already pasted. Only 'Max width (px)' and 'Embed type' change the code itself, so copy and paste again after changing those.
