Team members

A service can have as many members as you need on every plan. Members manage the service from their own accounts, while the owner keeps control of billing and the service itself.

Inviting someone

Only the owner and admins can invite. Open 'Members' in service settings and choose 'Invite member'.

• Under 'Who to invite', search by handle or name and pick the person, or switch to 'Invite by email address'. The person must already have an Inscramble account; otherwise you'll see a message asking them to sign up first.
• Choose a role, 'Admin' or 'Member', and for members tick the permissions they need.
• Send the invitation.

The invitation goes out two ways at once: an email with an accept link, and a notification in the recipient's 'Notifications' inbox. They must be signed in with the invited email address to accept. Invitations expire after 7 days. Until then they're listed under 'Pending invitations', where you can 'Resend' or 'Revoke' them.

Roles

• 'Owner': the person who created the service. Can do everything, including deleting the service, connecting payments, managing the plan, and managing members.
• 'Admin': runs day-to-day operations and can invite and manage members. Can't delete the service, change billing or the plan, or remove other admins.
• 'Member': can only do what their permissions allow. Permissions cover products and options, reservations (approving, cancelling, and creating manual reservations), the calendar (events, blocked times, and calendar sync), viewing reports, and the theme. Service information such as the name, address, and logo stays with the owner.

Removing members

On the 'Members' screen, use 'Remove member' on the person's row. Owners and admins remove members, and only the owner can remove an admin. Anyone except the owner leaves with 'Leave service'. Member and invitation changes are recorded under 'Recent activity' on the same screen.
